How to Make Money Online for Beginners – Social Media

Social Media is the hot term of the past few years, and within good reason. It’s not only fun to do, usually free, but it’s also one of the fastest ways on how to make money online for beginners. It takes little technical knowledge, but it does take time devoted to growing a list of friends or followers in order for your links to be seen.

There are plenty of affiliate programs out there such as Clickbank or Paydotcom or even Amazon and Commission Junction that will allow you to sign up and promote their products. They usually give you marketing tools such as ad copy, banners, or descriptions of products so that you can promote your link in different ways. You do not have to buy the product in order to promote it.

Once you have your product links or affiliate links then you can begin by promoting it. I’m only going to discuss Social Media on this article though. Social media is just how it’s described, it’s social and it’s media, so this means you have to be social in order to utilize it. This is not a passive type of marketing such as PPC or articles where the person has no idea who you are and can just randomly click on a link. Social media of course is still dealing with strangers, but you have a chance to build some trust behind your promotion and with that comes a higher click-through rate.

Social media encompasses many sites such as Youtube, Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, blogging, social bookmarking, and forums. Each of these sites requires you to contribute conversation in order to be seen. All of these are free to join and free to contribute. It’s one of the fastest and easiest ways to promote affiliate links on the Internet.

You could join all of these social media types to promote your link, but you could lose focus and a lot of time by spreading yourself thin. Your best bet is to focus on one or two methods and really learn how to best use them in promoting your links. Learn what each one is and see what best fits your personality and the amount of time you can spend on them.

You should also develop a schedule on promoting your links with social media and keep up with consistency. The best way on how to make money online for beginners is consistency and determination. You have to keep up with it. It all depends on your time and effort. Developing a schedule will help keep you in line so you can take care of marketing every single day.

There’s also a way for you to keep track of which social media is working best for you by shortening your affiliate link using a URL shortener (these are typically free) . This way you can track where your hits are coming from and you can see which of your ads work better than others.

Secrets To Networking, Friend Making, & Relationship Building

Expanding your network means you need to continually go out to meet new people. Now with the explosion of Social Networking online, you can get to know people from all over the world.

The problem is most people never take the time to get to know one another. They think if they keep shooting out a sales or marketing spiff that they will get someone to buy from them eventually. They come from the old school mentality that if they throw enough out there, something is bound to stick!

Not only does this theory NOT work, but it’s extremely annoying for the rest of the community. Most people will continue to keep you at a distance since they believe that you’ll only try to sell them something every time they connect with you.

Most strangers remain distance because there is something they don’t want to deal with. No one likes to be sold on anything but they still make purchases. Here’s the thing; people will buy from friends they know BEFORE they seek out a perfect stranger.

Your goal is to make friends with them and it starts with networking. Take time to know who they are and what makes them special. Get them involved with other activities you do and allow them to get to know you for the person you are, NOT for what you are selling.

Develop a rapport by reaching out to them with every possible moment and opportunity. Learn what’s important to them and help them get more of it. One of the best ways to show you care is to send them a card in the mail. Remember special events like their birthday or anniversary. Whatever is going on in their world should be the topic of conversation.

4 Reasons You Should Go To Seminars and Network Offline

SeminarFriday. The word embodies fun.
You’ve worked so hard all week on your business, and now it’s Friday. Time to relax, begin your weekend, and charge up for Monday. But what if you could have your Friday fun and still make huge strides in your business?   I’m talking about attending seminars (not workshops.. that’s something different and I’ll talk about another time).

The truth of the matter is that there are seminars being held ALL the time on many different subject matters that would be of interest to you (My personal favorites are Internet Marketing, Personal Development, & Business Development).

In theory going to seminars can only benefit you, but so many say they’re going.. and NEVER go. I understand that things may come up, but if you get lazy about it or figure you’ll go to another one, think about this:
