How To Make Money On the Internet: Personal Development Niche

If you are looking to make money on the internet in the personal development niche then the following information will help you better understand the exact actions to take in order to make this happen for you business.

Personal Development is a very popular niche and there is a lot of money to be made on the internet in helping people reach their self improvement goals. Unfortunately, most people who try to make money online selling personal development and self improvement advice and/or products do it incorrectly.  Here are the exact steps to take if you want to start profiting online in the personal development niche.

Step 1: You do not want to just drive traffic to a website that only tries to sell your personal development product or service; instead, take them to a simple one page website that offers them free information on how to obtain their personal development goals. But instead of just making the free advice readily available for them on the website, you give them access to the free information only after they have given you their first name and primary email address.  In other words, your webpage (a.k.a. squeeze page) should say something like: “Type in your name and email address in the fields provided if you wan to get your hands on 7 free Self Improvement secrets”.  If this webpage is made correctly, then a high percentage of people will leave you their contact information so they can access the information you promised.  This will thus begin your building a list of people/leads interested in personal development.

Step 2: Once a person has typed their name and primary email address into your simple squeeze-page website, you need to have an auto-responder (a.k.a. “automatic email sender”) email them the free tips you promised them. I recommend using a list-tool like Aweber or 1Shoppingcart in order to make this occur. The best way to execute this is to pre-load your autoresponder with at least 8-10 messages so that you are following up with the person who opted-in for at least 2 weeks or so. This follow-up messaging sequence is what will get people used to receiving messages from you and help make you seem like the “personal development expert”. Once a relationship has been developed, your leads are MUCH more likely to buy a product or service from you in the future (this is where the real money is made).

Step 3: Once your squeeze page and auto-responder are all set up you will need to make it so that the person who just opted in has the opportunity to buy something immediately having to do with personal development (putting money in your pocket right off the bat). The best way to do this is to make it so that after the person types their name and email address into your self improvement squeeze page, they immediate see an offer for a personal development product that YOU are an affiliate for. (This is often referred to a “thank you” or “landing page”). In other words, find an affiliate product on Clickbank (or some other affiliate network) and promote that product to your prospect RIGHT after they have typed in their name and email address on your opt-in page thus landing on your personal development offer.

If you follow these 3 steps, then you should be able to quickly start generating money from the internet in the personal development niche.  If you’re not very technical and are not sure how to do these steps, then you can always use a program like webcopycat.com to get things set up much more quickly.

RIP Jim Rohn

RIP Jim Rohn

Several years ago, When I first started out in the MLM/Home Business Industry, I had the pleasure of getting exposed to one of the GREATS of this “thing” we call personal development.

If you’ve ever heard a Jim Rohn Cassette, then you know what I’m talking about when I say that he “hooks” you from his very first word (a special gift that very few people have)

Several years ago I had the profound pleasure of getting to hear Jim live on stage. I actually snuck into the event when I wasn’t supposed to (but sssshhhh, dont tell anyone – lol)

On December 5th, Jim Rohn Passed away.

Jim’s “un-common” common sense had a profound impact on millions of people, and I’m glad to say that I’m a part of that group that was affected by this great man.

If you would like to share any personal experiences you’ve had with Jim Rohn or how he’s impacted your life – please leave a comment below.
