In today’s economy, debt relief has become one of the most popular niches and there is a lot of money to be made on the internet in helping people by offering debt relief advice. But, most people who try to make money online selling debt relief techniques do it incorrectly. Here are the proper steps to take if you want to start profiting on the internet utilizing debt assistance.

Step 1: As opposed to trying to drive traffic to an internet site that just tries to sell your debt relief product or service, take them to a simple one page site that offers them invaluable free information on how to overcome debt. Opposed to immediately giving them the advice on the website, you will have them opt in to receive the advice by requiring that they enter their first name and primary email address on the page. For example, your webpage (or opt-in page) should say something like: “Type in your first name and primary email address in the fields below if you want to get the solutions to your “Free Guide to Debt Relief” newsletter. If this site is made correctly, then a high percentage of people who are seeking your topic on overcoming debt will leave you their contact information and you’ll be building an email list of people interested in debt assistance.

Step 2: Once someone has typed their name and email address into the fields on your self-explanatory opt-in page, you should have an autoresponder (or “automated email sender”) that will send them the free advice you promised. I recommend email delivery tools like Aweber or 1Shopping cart in order to make this happen. The best way to communicate to your new list is to pre-load your autoresponder with at least 8-10 messages so that you end up following up with the person who opted-in for at least a month. This follow up messaging will get people used to receiving notices from you and help make you seem like the “Debt Relief Expert” in their opinion. Once a relationship has been built with your new subscribers, they are MUCH more likely to buy a product or service from you in the future (this is where you start generating real income).

Step 3: Once your simple opt-in page and autoresponder are connected, then you’ll want to make it so that the person who just opted in has the opportunity to buy something having to do with Debt Help (thereby increasing your possibility for an immediate sale). The easiest way to do this is to make it so that after the person types their first name and primary email address into your debt assistance lead capture page, they immediately land on a thank you page that contains an offer for a debt related product that YOU are an affiliate for. In other words, find an affiliate product on Clickbank (or some other affiliate directory) and promote that product to your prospects RIGHT after they have given you their contact information on your opt-in page.
