How “Syntax” Can Make Or Break Your Business
Happy “Hump Day” Everyone
Today I want to talk to you about something that will have a huge impact on how QUICKLY you attain success in business.
The “thing” that I’m talking about is called SYNTAX. Syntax is simply defined as the order and sequence of things.
Usually when referring to “Syntax”, we’re talking about language or grammar (e.g. sentence structure)… but today I’m going to “stretch” the definition a little bit to talk about the “order and sequence” you do things in your business.
As you can see…
Doing things in the wrong order can have devastating effects on your business.
So…
If you want to do them in the “right” order, the the best way is to follow someones instructions.

It’s A Boy! Congratulations!
Hey Everyone,
If you’ve been on my list for any significant period of time, contacted my office in the past year and a half, or spoken to me on social media (twitter, facebook, etc..) then chances are you’ve had contact with my assistant, Suzanne.
Well, about a month ago Suzanne left on maternity leave and I’m happy to announce that she just gave birth to a healthy baby boy (we’ll call him “Sprinkles” because that’s what her daughter named him while he was in her belly – lol)
Suzanne has pretty much been my right hand for the past year and a half and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. So I just wanted to take a second to say:
- CONGRATS on your new baby boy “Sprinkles”
- Now that the baby is out it’s time to get back to work – hahaha just playin:-)
- It’s a good thing your baby was born on the 21st because that makes him a Gemini (like me) and that means he’s ULTRA-COOL!!
- We miss you and look forward to when you can come back
And to all of you who know Suzanne (or just want to be nice), please feel free to leave your comments/congratulations in the comments section below and she’ll be sure to read them!

How To Make Money On the Internet: Personal Development Niche
If you are looking to make money on the internet in the personal development niche then the following information will help you better understand the exact actions to take in order to make this happen for you business.
Personal Development is a very popular niche and there is a lot of money to be made on the internet in helping people reach their self improvement goals. Unfortunately, most people who try to make money online selling personal development and self improvement advice and/or products do it incorrectly. Here are the exact steps to take if you want to start profiting online in the personal development niche.
Step 1: You do not want to just drive traffic to a website that only tries to sell your personal development product or service; instead, take them to a simple one page website that offers them free information on how to obtain their personal development goals. But instead of just making the free advice readily available for them on the website, you give them access to the free information only after they have given you their first name and primary email address. In other words, your webpage (a.k.a. squeeze page) should say something like: “Type in your name and email address in the fields provided if you wan to get your hands on 7 free Self Improvement secrets”. If this webpage is made correctly, then a high percentage of people will leave you their contact information so they can access the information you promised. This will thus begin your building a list of people/leads interested in personal development.
Step 2: Once a person has typed their name and primary email address into your simple squeeze-page website, you need to have an auto-responder (a.k.a. “automatic email sender”) email them the free tips you promised them. I recommend using a list-tool like Aweber or 1Shoppingcart in order to make this occur. The best way to execute this is to pre-load your autoresponder with at least 8-10 messages so that you are following up with the person who opted-in for at least 2 weeks or so. This follow-up messaging sequence is what will get people used to receiving messages from you and help make you seem like the “personal development expert”. Once a relationship has been developed, your leads are MUCH more likely to buy a product or service from you in the future (this is where the real money is made).
Step 3: Once your squeeze page and auto-responder are all set up you will need to make it so that the person who just opted in has the opportunity to buy something immediately having to do with personal development (putting money in your pocket right off the bat). The best way to do this is to make it so that after the person types their name and email address into your self improvement squeeze page, they immediate see an offer for a personal development product that YOU are an affiliate for. (This is often referred to a “thank you” or “landing page”). In other words, find an affiliate product on Clickbank (or some other affiliate network) and promote that product to your prospect RIGHT after they have typed in their name and email address on your opt-in page thus landing on your personal development offer.
If you follow these 3 steps, then you should be able to quickly start generating money from the internet in the personal development niche. If you’re not very technical and are not sure how to do these steps, then you can always use a program like webcopycat.com to get things set up much more quickly.

Email Tactics to Avoid in Your Internet Home Business
There’s a good reason why traditional marketing mail campaigns conducted through the postal system have earned the moniker of junk mail: because most of it is considered junk! A lot of the time, people won’t bother to even read the mail sent to them. In the article below, we’ll go over a few reasons why this is, and how you can best avoid it, and all of these lessons need to be carefully considered when learning how to build an email list as a part of your Internet marketing strategy.
Don’t Send Email to People That Don’t Want It
The main reason that people throw away junk mail is because, well, they don’t want it! They often didn’t ask for it, aren’t sure how the marketer got their mailing address in the first place, and have no interest in the products being advertised.
There are a few ways to avoid this problem. For one, you can send emails only to those individuals that directly sign up for your email list, whether on your website or through another avenue. Although this won’t result in a very large email list, it will mean that every person on your email list will actually want the email and that they will actually read it.
Don’t Overdo It
Just because you’ve developed a large and functional – and voluntary! – email list doesn’t mean that the people on your list want to hear from you every hour on the hour. Rather, you should be sending emails out to your subscribers only when you have something genuinely important to say, and only at preset intervals. For most websites, once each week is about as much as you should push. However, if you are a major online retail outlet, then feel free to inform people if you’ve got a really great daily deal.
Just like with most things concerning making money using the internet, how you use your email list is a largely flexible affair. You could even have a staggered list of different email services, like allowing people to receive your emails once/week or once/day, or even just when there’s a special, email list only offer. Just keep the golden rule in mind: never send more email than you yourself would want.
