    Hi Devon
I prefer the glasses in your header!!!
Terrific presentation. You have got to the heart of the matter as to why so many people fail to take action. They become paralysed at the enormity of what they have to do to get in motion & the show on the road. At every stage there are enormous personal ‘elephants’ that have to be overcome and no-one to turn to.
I am delighted to be on your programme after our personal chat last Saturday, but one to one is an expensive option for people who continually seek ‘freebies’. They have to realise building a business is not just a question of clicking the mouse…it is a serious commitment if you are to succeed.
I love your style and what you put into your programmes. Liz

Great video! Is this the main reason 95% of IM newbies / startups fail ?

Devon, this is the BEST video so far. Thanks for being honest.

You explained why (I think) most people search for, and buy, different programs to try and make it in Internet Marketing. And the sad part is most IM “fakers” know this.

    Thanks, again

    Hey Devon,

Thanks for the video. That is so true. I still to this day spend several hours trying to do what seems like the simplest things. What can sometimes make things worse is coaches can often get behind the times. Since they have already built their business and can now use leverage to make more money, they don’t keep up to date on the methods that newbies use. This can often lead to them teaching out dated methods. I’ve seen a few coaching videos that link to dead websites or that use products that are no longer available. Unfortunately, one-on-one coaching is just too expensive for a lot of people.

Thanks for the info as always

  6. Damn ! Brother Devon !

Nice glasses dude..Ha ! Ok seriously I see many Coaches doing what you’re saying but here’s
where it becomes Hard for the student is to actually Afford 1 on 1 Coaching..Another thing
is to Really Teach in a way that the student is FORCE to take Action and Implement it Well
so the closest thing to that is Video Coaching or Webinars when one is starting out in I.M
and even then that runs from $200 to $2000 or More from my experience. Later man …

Great Video content Devon. You couldn’t have been more spot on! Many people are sold into the concept without realizing things won’t be easy. I have been there and am slowly pulling myself out of the mud. Thanks for saying it as it should be! The truth shall set you FREE indeed!!

You have accurately assessed the major problem with “guru” courses. I can’t tell you how many of these where I’ve gotten to a point and just can’t make the next step work for some reason for another. And I’m a techi-techy. So thanks for making the comment.

You nailed it! I have started several coaching programs only to find out that I did not know what the hell they were trying to show me or how I was supposed to go about implementing it. I have almost – ALMOST- reached the point of giving up altogether and throwing my computer out of the house. But, with determination and reading everything I can get my hands on, I AM going to succeed

Great video Devon…I pretty much self taught myself how to do all of the technical things that you mentioned because like you said, nobody ever took the time to walk me through it. But my problem has been actually knowing WHAT to do. Everybody tells you to do something different so I really don’t know who to listen to or who to trust. Do you offer one-on-one coaching??

Excellent advice. I just wish I could afford a mentor. I long believed I needed one to help me through reinventing myself, but too broke to do so. Been trying affiliate marketing for a few months now via online courses but not a dime has come in.

    Hi Devon,

Love your analogy of driving a car and learning IM.

I took driver’s ed as a teenager so as to reduce my car insurance and to be able to pass the driver’s license test. In the process I actually learned some things about road safety and driving that I was not aware of, from taking driver’s ed.

Thank God I accomplished both. I passed the driver’s test and got my drivers license, plus, I saved money on my auto insurance, although I was a teenage driver and not on my parents policy.

We who are new to IM, trying to get it all figured out could use some kind of IM driver’s test to see if we actually got it, the IM procedures, down pat, before driving the car, (starting our internet marketing.)

Unless we do, coaches and students alike, we will continue to see, and leave, a ton of road kill in our wake.

There are far to many people trying to teach others something they have yet learned to master. (internet marketing/how to make money online.)

Golden Nuggets comes from unlikely places sometimes, I am glad that I run into this video today. We hear in our church witnessing that we need to get out of our caves or our comfort zones but you make an important point here bringing a friend to church may sound simple but its not easy and to excel about it like you say takes feed-back from someone that as successfully done it ( one may be to talk to lots of people ) Church or otherwise its pretty much the same thing about Art of Sharing! Thanks!
