Role of Image Optimization For Your Internet Home Business Success

Internet home business success is dependent on Search Engine Optimization. Image optimization is one of the Search Engine Optimization techniques which can help your blog to perform better in organic search queries and this will eventually send in waves of targeted traffic to your blog.

Images can be found on every blog. This is because of the fact that blog posts become lively and full of energy because of the images. It is true that people look for good and quality content. However, the message that you try to deliver to your readers is etched in their mind when you use images. They will instantly recall the image and then they will remember what you said in your post. Having effective imagining is very important.

Many people use images but they do not optimize those images for better performance in organic search queries. The other major problem is that they uses images which significantly increases the load time for the blog and this is where the readers become impatient and then move to some other blog or information source which is run by their competitors.

Images have the ability to attract more traffic to your blog and you need to harness this opportunity. For Search Engine Optimization, it is imperative to use alt tags for the images. Ignoring the alt tags is also an important factor. When you use alt tags, they will make your blog XHTML friendly. Also adding alt tags to all the images will help in SEO. Search engine bots are not able to read the texts in images. So, you need to use relevant keywords in your alt tags to make your images search engine friendly. It is important to remember that you need to make sure that you are using a trusted source. Sites that provide free imaging can be dangerous as the link sources can be altered and you may end up posting images that will harm your reputation.

If you are using WordPress, you can use the plugin known as “SEO Friendly Images”. This plugin will find the images without alt tags and will add alt tags to those images. The alt tag used by the plugin will either be the image name or the post title. However, it is always suggested to add alt tags manually.
Again, you need to make sure that you don’t use images with large file size. Avoid using high resolution images. You can use the plugin “WP Smush.it” to automatically reduce the image sizes that you add to your posts.

The better you optimize your images, the better it is for SEO. Also, smaller the size of the images, faster is the load time for your blog. These two factors will significantly help in achieving internet home business success.
