Home Business Success Tip: Communicating With Your List/Subscribers

If you’ve been online for more than 5 minutes, then you know that every single “guru” out there tells you to BUILD YOUR LIST!!

But one thing that is often overlooked is: “Once I build my list, what do I say to them?”

While having an e-mail list is important, it’s only about half of of the solution. The other half, which is just as (if not MORE) important, is how you communicate with your list so as to have a good relationship with them

Hopefully this short video will help shed some light on that subject!

I like the info… Is your sales rate higher when you follow this system and how many days in between do you send your emails. Sorry for so many questions but what is the next email after your sales one?

Great video Devon

When I get a list, I’ll know how to handle it. I had been thinking about blogging and hope to build a list that way. Is that something that is doable, or not?

keep the good stuff coming. I have a few friends I might forward this to.

The comedy in you saying “super sexy video” *alone* is worth pushing the video button. I like the Crack method of list building. It’s basically what you said but extends the concept of mixing in pre-sell with content, and content for the sake of building value and rapport into the areas that lead to people signing up for your list.

Great video. Remind me on Friday to send you some T-shirts to wear in the video. Cuz. Wow. :)

You can build a list through blogging. Ask Tinu about this.. she’s an expert at blogging and can help teach you how to do that. asktinu.com I’m more of a squeeze-page/salesletter email list builder. :)

When someone first opts in to my list. I usually follow a sequence of

Immediately – message welcoming them to my site
Message 1 – Goes out the next day with some content
Message 2 – Goes out the next day with some content
Message 3 – 2 days later (sales message)
Message 4 – 2 days later (content)
Message 5 – 3 days later (content)
Message 6 – 3 days later (sales)

Then I mix it up (usually 2-7 days in between follow up messages)
but making sure that the sequence is NOT uniform.

The sales rate is higher when you’re not CONSTANTLY selling!
The first 7-10 days i’ll usually do about 80% content and 20% sales.
After that I shoot for 60% content and 40% sales

Thanks for your reply comment about your email sequence. I have been trying to get this kind of info out of a lot of gurus for a long time.
