A 1-2-3 process that newbies can take to the bank. While I do provide plenty of live phone and webcast support, I am finding that most people starting out are moderately to severely technically challenged, but they still want those pie in the sky overnight riches that they have been fed by so many online.
An online business is no different that a brick and mortar business. It takes Time and it takes persistence to get it running and profitable.
Guess that would be two topics. First that there is No Magic Button! and second the 1-2-3 process. Build or buy a product, Build a list, sell your product. Rinse and repeat.

Too many ‘friends’ on Facebook are, like me, marketing a service or product. How do I find the ‘friends’ that are real people and really looking for what I have to offer.

Devon, I have high ranking for minor long tail keywords such as: internet marketing tools for beginners, i.e. #7 on Google, 1 on Yahoo and Bing.
However, I am shooting for “internet marketing tools” and the rank is for yahoo and bing is in the 120 or so. That is why I don’t have much traffic and have only a few names on my Aweber list.

Question: How can I get more traffic?

Hi Devon,

I developed a site selling good quality WordPress Training videos and started to build links to it (actually outsourced it). Was on page 2 of Big G in days, then went up on first page and then… BANG! Went down to somewhere below 500 within days. (I built too many links in a short period of time – although it wasn’t built with some spammy software, it was built by hand!)

My question: What would you do if you were in my position? How cab I get Google to “trust” the site again? My feeling is to wait for a month or so, then start to build links (more slowly) again. What’s your advice about this?

Devon, I like your style and I applaud your enthusiasm. I’m not really internet literate but from all I see and hear the internet is the place to be so how do I get out of this hole (I’m not sure if ther’s a rope long enough to reach me) and get started on the internet with negative funds to work with?

First of all, I would like to tell you how wonderful it is to call the number for customer support and actually get a person to talk to and not some automated system that drives me crazy.

1. You have such good information and videos. Being in kind of a desperate situation with money, I need to get started as soon as possible. For the newbie, or the desperate, which advertising medium would be the best to start in to get the best results? I have been doing this for 5 years and have yet to find the right combination. Article submission, blogging, classifieds, facebook. I have tried them all. Please point me in the right direction so I can see $10 or $50 in a week or so. Help me show me that I can do it. Please.

2. I’m trying to help my Russian wife break into Clickbank. Another Russian has been successful and is trying to show her, but she has no frame of refference. Do you have some simple instructions I can relate to her that would get her pointed in the right direction? She is the kind of person who drops something if it doesn’t work the first time.

I’m making a website with products from clickbank on it go to start as an affiliate.
If a viewer are going to click on the product(banner) on the site they are going to fill in the
Squeeze Page/Landing page of the product owner with there name and email address.
What Can I do to receive those names and addresses to (a backlink or other connection).

How much money should one expect to pay out before yielding an income as it is getting very expensive with zero results. not sure the quality of their work is all you crack it up to be either to be honest! As I have been in & out of “J.O.B.s” for the past 10 years (trading time for money doesn’t make sense…) and now because of the economy and the (lack of) “building trade” (I’m actually a remodelling carpenter w/a two year computer degree – among other things), I am trying to get some kind of Internet income by being an affiliate…

I have several interests that basically boil down to Spiritual, Mental and Physical (info?) products and have acquired affiliate links in those areas regarding existing products.

Now, since I’m barely keeping my nose above water (financially) due to only being able to “house/pet sit” for a friend of mine who has moved to the other coast, I need to know how to promote a lot of these affiliate sites I have and start “paying the bills” and save some if I want to be able to get out of here and get my own place (again).

My biggest question(s) to you is (are), what is the quickest way to earn through promoting other’s products and how difficult is it to quickly maintain (or increase) at least $500 per week doing so?

Later I plan to set up my own site – but right now I need to get some really quick cash and I don’t have any, at all to spend or invest…
